Who is this for
You have an idea for an app, a website, or a digital product. Maybe you have started building it yourself, maybe AI got you partway there, maybe you have not started at all. Either way, you need someone who can look at the whole picture, figure out the right approach, and help you get it done properly.
Services
We talk through where you are, what you are trying to build, and what the right approach looks like. I model the problem, identify the risks, and give you an honest assessment. You walk away with clarity on whether to proceed and how.
Deeper engagement. I map out the full architecture, the build sequence, the tech choices, and produce a concrete plan you can follow. Some clients stop here and build it themselves or hand the plan to a team.
I build it for you. Website, app, whatever the plan calls for. Or I guide you through building it yourself, reviewing your work, catching mistakes, and keeping you on track.
Your product is live and you need someone keeping it running, updated, and secure. Monthly retainer, scope agreed upfront.
How to get started
Email step@pathlaid.com. Tell me what you have, where you are stuck, and what you are trying to achieve. Keep it brief. I will read it, and if it sounds like something I can help with, I will get back to you to arrange a conversation.
Not every enquiry will be a fit. If I do not think I can add value, I will tell you honestly and point you in the right direction if I can.
Pricing
I do not publish fixed prices because every project is different. What I can tell you is that I am transparent about costs. You will always know what something will cost before you commit to it, and there are no surprise invoices.
Payment is by invoice. Consulting sessions are paid per block. Project work is quoted upfront with milestones. Ongoing management is a fixed monthly amount.
What I expect from you
Be honest. If you do not know something, say so. If you do not like a direction, say so early. The worst outcome is wasted work because someone was too polite to push back.
Be responsive. Projects stall when communication stalls. I do not need instant replies, but I need timely ones. If you go quiet for weeks, the engagement pauses.
Trust the process. I will challenge your assumptions. That is what you are paying for. If you want someone who just does what they are told without question, I am not the right fit.
What you can expect from me
Honesty. If your idea has a problem, I will tell you. If something is going to cost more than you expect, I will tell you before the work starts.
Quality. I build things properly. That means thinking about structure, maintainability, and the details that matter. Not the fastest path, the right one.
Confidentiality. Your ideas, your code, your business details stay between us. Full stop.
About Jason
I am Dr Jason Woodgate. Scientist by training, developer by practice, founder of Feedings LTD. Published researcher with a background in biochemistry and structural biology. I have shipped three apps across Apple, Google, and Microsoft stores, and built everything behind them from scratch.
I think like a scientist - model the problem, test the approach, build from the evidence. I take half-formed ideas and shape them into something that holds together. I work bottom-up on the details and top-down on the direction, because getting one right without the other gets you nowhere.
